The acknowledgment that President #Biden had unauthorized classified documents at his home and at an office is problematic. The mishandling of #classified material is not a partisan question. #Trump case is worse for a number of reasons. The cavalier attitude that many politicians have toward secret and top secret material is a function of lax controls, belief that the consequences of disclosure are minor, and a general belief that most things are over classified (real problem)
@arturmaks Also important is that aides are finding the documents -- meaning #Biden instructed them to go make sure they find everything and turn them in. Being proactive isn't meaningless in this scenario.
@rickysmith It’s not. But, it doesn’t negate the problematic lack of control over classified documents. We’re they properly stores? Who had access to them? How were they missed in the first place? Why were they there? Lots of questions that Biden and his team should answer.
@arturmaks I completely agree that there are questions requiring answers. However, my experience in tech makes me aware that compliance violations happen even in the most tightly controlled environments. Real security is built on top of the efforts of the willing. So far, he's demonstrating willingness. For me seeing the process working is reassuring.
