But leaving the well-known meatpots creates fear. We all know Moses' troubles to make his people go after he struck the deal with pharaoh - and they didn't even know about the 40 years to come in the desert, while we DO know their fate!
So isn't it natural that people seek ways to carry on as usual, by all means?
I see only 2 options to make people move:
A) extreme personal discomfort / existential threat
B) superior insight plus solidarity

If I could choose, I'd go for B).
