It is a very special honor to receive the Herschel medal from the Royal Astronomical Society. The fact that it is accompanied by the Eddington medal for my @Radboud_uni colleague and close collaborator Monika Moscibrodzka, makes this a truly special day for all of us. The Black Hole image was a dream for two decades and I accept this also on behalf of all our colleagues that helped to make this dream come true in the end. Thank you!
