Loch K. Johnson, Frederick Baron, and Dennis Aftergut write,

"Jim Jordan’s 'weaponization' subcommittee…intend[s] to generate headlines rather than needed reforms. They seek not to expose wrongdoers but to deflect attention from them. And instead of leaving a legacy of bipartisan honor and truth-seeking, their work will be remembered as a scandalous exercise in personal and partisan self-preservation."

Jim Jordan, Church Committee Pretender

His new panel on the “weaponization of the federal government” bears no resemblance to the storied 1970s committee whose work led to intelligence reform.

The Bulwark

Is the price the American people have to pay for holding together a fragile and embattled democracy really pretending that there's equivalency on "both sides," that the toxic stuff and nonsense of one political side is about something real and not about lies and smokescreens?

Really? Is that the price we have to pay to keep democracy alive — pretending that both sides are equally invested in our future and equally grounded in reality?

Trump exposed what is the hypocrisy that is America. Trump supporters showed no fear as they raided the Capitol. They don't know how dependent they are to a functioning government and as result they don't know what they're losing forever.
