Is the price the American people have to pay for holding together a fragile and embattled democracy really pretending that there's equivalency on "both sides," that the toxic stuff and nonsense of one political side is about something real and not about lies and smokescreens?

Trump exposed what is the hypocrisy that is America. Trump supporters showed no fear as they raided the Capitol. They don't know how dependent they are to a functioning government and as result they don't know what they're losing forever.
