There is no labor shortage for jobs that pay workers fairly. Isn’t it funny how that works?
@rbreich I don't think that's true at all, and agree with you on most things. You keep posting this type of comment, but there are severe shortages in very well-paying jobs such as construction, health care, social services, administration, tech, etc.
@Minnesnowta @rbreich Because those industries currently treat their workers like trash. Every ex-construction worker I know would do anything to keep from going back. Health care has been a dumpster fire since COVID. Social workers are actually paid little more than minimum wage and put on very traumatic front lines. Admin is soul sucking work. Can't speak for tech but I know that most web tech is very hit or miss.
@lannan @rbreich Most of what you say isn't true at all with the exception of the health care dumpster fire. But there was a shortage long before Covid. Shortages in rural locales especially that would be great places for health care workers. But I'm not a purist or extremist who speaks in hyperbole. Not going to argue with you.
