Zeh FernandoShower thoughts: Orishas would be a perfect subject for a card battle (Marvel Snap-like) game.
alebianco@zeh lol, I have read a couple of books last year that cover some of the Orishas and it's been wild. Would be nice too see it featured in more media, we have seen enough norse mythology already (although I love it and it will never be too much)
@alebianco Norse mythology is the other one I thought about, but it's been done to such extent (and mixed with franchises like Marvel, God of War, etc) that it'd just look generic, I think. Orishas is still fresh (at least outside of the Central America/South America/West Africa axis).
I grew up hearing about some of the main gods/goddesses of Orishas, but have looked into more detail recently and it's much richer than I though!
@zeh i know very little / nothing about it, but I guess that the key difference is that one is fully mythology by now and the other is still a religion for many people, might be more difficult to work with. In any case, if you got any book/comic suggestion, I'm ready for another wild ride
@alebianco Yeah, it's a religion some take very seriously and there would be an element of appropriation to it. So not sure how that could work. But a card game still sounds like a good idea, mechanically.
