@lmc I keep thinking about how people in other parts of the world must think we’re so strange (and we are), but in 23 years I can’t recall anything like it. I want to say it has hailed twice, thundered maybe five times, and lightning is 🤷🏼‍♀️ something we might see every few years? And the combination of it + the volume of rain. Just 😮

Whereas most other parts of the US can expect all of this, several times each year.

@bikingmzstacey my Midwest relatives always laugh when I go on about thunder and lightning, and I say just wait till you're knocked out of bed by an earthquake and see if you don't talk about it!
