Really top-notch #AAS241 talk by @[email protected] today explaining black hole reverberation mapping and nice black hole flare sonification, as well as some nice reflections on the progression of her (still-early) career that I think will be helpful to younger scientists
@planet4589 yay women in astro, but black hole flares? Ah-hem, excuse me but let’s get on-topic here - solar max is 2024-5 & we’re overdue for the solar flare/CME system that takes out our grid. Plus black holes are probably just primordial plasmoids. Sigh.
