Do you own a Fediverse server/instance (either Mastodon or non-Mastodon) that fulfils the following criteria:

- Obeys the Mastodon covenant (https://joinmastodon.org/covenant), but doesn't have to be a Mastodon server

- Has under 50,000 members

- Either open for signups or has signup requests available

Would you be interested in being listed on an independent Fediverse server directory? If so, message me!

(Can't promise anything yet, looking into the feasibility of such a project. Boosts welcome!)

Mastodon Server Covenant for joinmastodon.org

@feditips I dont have a server (might consider it in future though), but I think such a directory would be very cool for a user like myself to search through.
@feditips Do I need to first ask John Mastodon for permission?
@feditips hi! my instance https://craftodon.social is a small instance for everything minecraft! we have a small community here, and I would love for the instance to get added to the list :)
craftodon.social

English speaking non-official Minecraft instance. For everyone who plays Minecraft, this instance is a mast!

Mastodon hosted on craftodon.social
@feditips well I thought that all Mastodon servers who want to get listed at https://joinmastodon.org need to fulfill those criteria. Sure, you may list fairmove.net

@rasos I think joinmastodon.org has a minimum user count, whereas this hypothetical site has a maximum
@feditips definitely interested, but I'll have to check, if my server fulfills the criteria. I'm a bit busy with life rn.
@feditips am admin of mountains.social (currently <100) and certainly have room to have more on the instance. so count me in.
@feditips We've got a PeerTube instance... It currently has up to 25 registrations open on it. https://video.jgimedatse.com/ currently the only content is mine, or reposts of other people (usually editing it, and within stated license, though some has been "fair use", (ie. it can't entirely be said to be legal, but that's just because the law really isn't clear, other than being clearly unclear)).
@feditips
We run mastodon.la
We are interested in being listed in your directory
@feditips why only under 50k members?

@arnandegans
Likely because it starts getting dangerous if an instance has too much power and influence in the form of users, in the network.

@feditips

@feditips I'm jpop.space administrator and I'm interested โœ‹
@feditips
It would be most helpful if someone can replicate the linked alleged "covenant" on fedi given that #JoinMastodn is CloudFlare.
