@MonaApp I’d like to be able to have content warnings auto expand (i.e., really have no effect). There seems to be a setting for that, but it has no effect as far as I can tell. Also, if I unfollow someone in mona, it does not seem to actually unfollow.
@MonaApp How do I turn on/off post notifications in Mona for an account I am following? Existing ones I setup outside of Mona are working.
@thisisizzy It’s currently not supported.
@MonaApp It is already an excellent app, only in some places "Tweet" should be replaced by "Toot" and "Retweet" by "Boost" ;-). Many thanks for the great efforts!
@mjasinski @MonaApp Toot has been retired as a phrase in Mastodon since version 4. We should no longer use it in the apps as its a huge distraction. We should really try to use general language like Post and Reshare
@MonaApp Is there any way to get into the beta without buying the Twitter app? Which seems like a really bad decision right now.
@mrcippy No other options at this moment. Sorry.
@MonaApp Thanks for doing what you do. I’m really enjoying this app.
@MonaApp Hi. Can you please tell me how to follow a user?
@thewebmusician VoiceOver? On user profile page, tap upper right Actions button, then select Follow.
@MonaApp Yes, I'm using voiceover.
@MonaApp I want to test your app, but it seems I need an invite! please, today is my birthday, can I have an invitation for Mona? Thanks!
@MonaApp Excellent work. I can’t believe this app is only a month old!
Feature request for you: is there a way to change the default reply visibility? Right now it defaults to “Public”. I’d change it to “unlisted” by default if I had the option.
Thanks!
@MonaApp Just a quick question, how do we get the latest update? Do we have to download new beta.zip file?
@fuzzygel The app will notify you if there’s a new update, and yes clicking it will download a zip file containing the new version of app.
@MonaApp Like everything you do, it’s fantastic! Thanks for all the work.
Is it on the road map to have an option to automatically expand content warnings? This is quite a common feature in Mastodon clients and would be much appreciated.
@JonathanMosen @MonaApp I’ll second that.
Also, I can’t find a way to see HashTags I follow. Have I missed something, or is that feature not yet available.
Loving the app so far, though.
@JonathanMosen Thank you. That feature will be supported later.
@JonathanMosen @MonaApp Yes, I second that. In addition, would it be possible to add an option, togglable in the settings for those who prefer it that way, to expand CW's in-line without opening the full conversation screen? I loved that particular behaviour in Metatext.
@MonaApp hey, do you have any insight in to how Spring is still working? I’m delighted it is and reckon it’s because it’s newer and maybe a smaller install base vs the more established Twitter apps
@MonaApp I really like the profile metadata display. One thing to consider: The link color for verified (green) could be a custom tint and so no longer be distinguished.
@MonaApp Another great update, thanks. This is now my main go-to app. Glad most of the Twitter language is gone, though it’s still in a few places, at least usigng VoiceOver.
@MonaApp Quick question - What does the Quote Post button do? Given that to my knowledge Mastodon doesn’t support quoting.
@MonaApp Oh share sheet, thanks!
@MonaApp 什么时候可以支持修改个人资料呢?而不是跳转网页。
@MonaApp VoiceOver user here. Enjoying Mona. I find the use of “reblog” instead of “boost” like every other Mastodon client to be off putting. Plus it’s longer to listen to. I’d definitely prefer the standard terminology in the app. You’re doing a great job as always though. Thanks for the accessibility!
@MonaApp I don’t see the app in the share sheet, is it still a feature to deliver or am I missing something?
@eiffair Not supported yet.
@MonaApp Thanks, hope it’s on top of your list. After all sharing things is the essence of Mastodon 😉
@MonaApp You enjoyed the setup and the cryptographic part associated with it I hope. I did that Sunday morning for @[email protected] and it was a pain lol
@dimillian @[email protected] Yea with inspirations from some open-source projects, it’s actually not as hard as I expected. The only tricky part for me is to support iOS 13 and macOS 10.15, because one of the modern Apple decryption API requires iOS 14+.
@MonaApp @[email protected] Ouch, I'm thankful I only have to support iOS 16 so I can use CryptoKit. Same, I took heavy inspiration from the official open source client. I'm actually thinking about making a specific library for the NotificationService part because every app have to do the same anyway.
@dimillian That would be very nice.

@MonaApp Thank you very mutch for this App.
Please can you fix "Polls"?

Thsnks ❤️

@MonaApp The push notifications are working great. Thanks!

Is support for custom / server-specific emojis on the roadmap? That’s my biggest quality of life issue right now, seeing lots of “:blobcathearts:” in posts, without it being expanded to the actual image.

@jmartindf Yes it will be supported later.
@MonaApp Perfect! Push notifications work great! Thank you. I'm loving this app!
@MonaApp Do you have room for anyone else in testflight?
@MonaApp Very exciting! Thanks for all the hard work.
@MonaApp Can I join the beta?
@MonaApp That would be wonderful! Thank you for the hard work you are putting into Mona. Will we be able to receive a notification when a specific user Toot by any chance? Would love to see this as a feature on Mona.
@Thomas_domville Yes it will be supported in a later release.
@MonaApp Most excellent! Can't wait for that wonderful feature!
