In celebration of the Green Bay Packers (and specifically Aaron Rogers) being eliminated from the playoffs...let's play. You got questions, I MIGHT have answers. Fire away. And, as always, if you see value in this...please BOOST it along for others to find. #Television #Screenwriting #ThePackersAreBad
@JeffLieber
What balance do you like in an action/adventure film between dialog and action? How specific do you describe action detail? How much do you leave to the director (if you are/aren’t directing)? What are your favorite tools to develop tension?
@StevenMRogers The key with action is remembering that there are multiple drafts of the script, most specifically the one you SELL and the one you SHOOT. For the one you SELL, less is more and what you're going for is clarity and emotion. You don't have to worry about minutia at this point...just things that simply describe the action and get to emotion. Things look bad. All is lost. Thing X happens. Maybe there's hope, until... the dragon shows up. Now they're more fucked than ever.
