GameservatoryCritics & devs alike are quick to say how unfortunate it is that branching narratives virtually always converge. But in reality, we are free agents in a rigid macro-organism. Our choices shift the outcome by degrees. Having that reflected back at us is uncomfortable, unbelievable even. The power fantasy is in thinking we have more control than we do.
