President Biden is spending the day today in a border town talking about immigration enforcement- read deporting poor, desperate brown people fleeing violence - if he has courage he should be deporting right wing autocratic thugs like Bolsonaro - whose supporters are engaging in Trump like #Jan6insurrection in Brazil.

Enforcement on immigration should be not about going after the poor, hungry and the desperate - but also going after violent inducing authoritarians damaging our democracy.

@murshedz There has to be a legal, lawful order for extradition first, or sufficient cause to eject Bolsonaro from the US.

As inconvenient as it is, we're still a democracy and a supposed nation of laws. Our elected officials should comply with US and international treaties unlike the last character who occupied the White House.

@femme_mal that’s fine - we should be following all legal procedures but Biden can use his platform to signal that he is ready to assist Lula’s government using all legal tools at his disposal including but not limited to extradition id Lula’s govt requests it. This is the time to be clear and brave when it comes to defending democracy.
