PAST:
Abolitionist believing that slavery was wrong and should be abolished is one thing

Abolitionist believing slaves were their EQUAL is quite another

PRESENT:

“Good white folx” believing that Black folx are treated unfairly is one thing

“Good white folx” believing that they benefit and perpetuate that unfair treatment is quite another

@KimCrayton1 folks talk pretty when it suits them, but talking is easy says this old white lady.

@KimCrayton1

Agreeing with the 2 portion of the “present” statement is not really so hard.

The hard part is the presumed next step and subsequent call to action it implies.

Is the expected outcome merely an admission? Is it empathy or an apology?

All of those are free. If the expectation is to change place in line, make an sacrifice of time and or money…

The Fascists among us will burn the world down before this happens.

@KimCrayton1 Actually everybody benefits from equality. That allows the best people to rise to the level of their capability regardless of their skin color, physical gender or sexual choice.

I benefit from seeing everyone as equal because that allows me to have interesting friends who have different views of various subjects, from politics to literature and other art forms.
