The mix of event listings combined with seeing which of your friends are going is what makes it better than the many sites out there showing event listings alone. That and the ubiquity of FB when it was popular. Friendica has events already, actually, so I guess we should start using that!

Jill Gregory@BlueBee @jerry one option is https://www.freecycle.org/. It's not quite the same thing, since everything must be given away, no money exchanged. But I've found it a great way to keep things out of a landfill.
