@DataChick worse than that they're reinventing the wheel incredibly slowly. Starting back at like 100 AD.

@DataChick
😂 Now following the #woo hashtag for the laughs
@DataChick ah the essential oils. When my mom was dying of lung cancer, I received endless boxes of these items from relatives. Needless to say, they didn’t work, but our house smelled nice.
@raerae I can’t even imagine having to deal with that sort of “help”
@DataChick yes. I was sent all kinds of things including some miracle ‘black salve’, some kind of Japanese toxin extracting foot pads, etc etc. when she died many of them called me and ‘rejoiced’ because she was finally with the Lord. My question, maybe they didn’t pray hard enough along their prayer chain? 🤣. I’m still a bit bitter about all of it. She died because she didn’t receive routine medical care and she smoked for 50 years. They think it’s God’s will and big pharma killed her
@DataChick They also think they can cure anything with incantations and magical energies.

@DataChick I don't know Harry Potter, but if you're disparaging Evangelicals, I'm here for it!
@DataChick although I have used #lavender oil in my granddaughter’s bath to try and make her sleepy
@lisahayanddog @DataChick that actually works but not as fast as a looped audio recording of rain on canvas.
@lisahayanddog I “use” scents myself. But I’m not sure if it’s placebo or just something I like. The smell of an orange peel twist makes me happy.
