Introverts in the west have lived their whole lives in a world catered to extroverts. And when #COVID hit, rather than respond with safety measures that would incidentally make things a little less social, extroverts decided everyone can just die instead.
People whining about how hard it was to not be having dinner parties and raves and licking each other's faces or whatever extroverts do, you're just getting a tiny taste of what introverts have to deal with fitting into an extroverted society and are immediately falling apart.
@ellesaurus exactly. Sometimes I get this little quirk of an odd feeling and wonder what’s wrong. Then I realize that I haven’t left my house for a week except to drop the child off at school.
@andrew @ellesaurus And I *like* it (OK I go for walks daily but no people around.) Bliss.
@ellesaurus I'm an extrovert, and have felt this as well. One thing about liking people is that I like my people alive better, and wearing a mask or being outside with them works very well at keeping them (and us) alive and healthy.
@ellesaurus I'm very extravert but I am completely in favor for as many safety measures as possible.

@ellesaurus

This is how I feel.
To keep my (medically vulnerable) household safe, and because I am self employed and not wealthy enough to miss more than a day or two of work, I have had to greatly curtail socializing indoors.

I am an intuitive extrovert. Have been fighting hard to find my happy place in this new world of ours.

Meanwhile my intoverted friends are doing just fine.

@ellesaurus I m not sure it s to do with being extrovert as much as folk who don’t like being told what to do combined with a lack of caring about the welfare of others
@ellesaurus extroverts will be like "it's so great to be back IN PERSON" and expect applause
@ellesaurus How are you doing and the family I hope all is well alright if you can chat me up on Google chat [email protected]
