Biden's two years in office have each been among the best years of job growth ever.

Another Dark Brandon W.

@atrupar

A truly remarkable comeback in the job market under Joe Biden and the Democrats, with more than 10.7 million jobs added, and a record low 3.5% unemployment rate.

Biden's #AmericanRescuePlan fueled this comeback.

The #InfrastructurePackage was the key 2nd step.

The #CHIPS Act kept the momentum rolling.

And while Republicans TALKED about inflation, Dems PASSED the #InflationReductionAct to bring down rate of inflation, which is significantly lower in the US than Europe and the UK.

@DemDifference @atrupar fed id trying to put Americans out of work to support billionaires

@DemDifference @atrupar

As is clearly seen in this graph :

Democrats : Clinton, Obama, Biden create jobs.
Republicans don't create jobs.

@atrupar I have always wondered, do job growth numbers factor in when someone has to work 2 or 3 jobs instead of 1 to pay the bills? Like are jobs growing because many jobs donโ€™t pay enough anymore?

@makapuu @atrupar

Since the job growth numbers are gathered by surveying businesses not workers, it wouldn't factor in workers with multiple jobs. There is a BLS statistic for multiple jobholders.

@CEHughes @atrupar Thanks, at least looking at those BLS statistics it seems those numbers are stable over time, though no 2022 data yet.

I like that unemployment is low, but I worry that celebrating these numbers makes it more about the companies, and not about whether the jobs are actually working for people. If there are more jobs because wages are low and fewer benefits need to be paid by 2 part time jobs than 1 full time job, it's not much cause for excitement.

@makapuu @atrupar there are monthly multi job statistics for 2022.

@atrupar - and now the Fed will raise interest rates again because too many people have jobs making money and buying things, aka inflation. The feds' quiver is empty; time to start enforcing anti-trust.
@atrupar Stock market is big mad about the poors getting jobs ๐Ÿ˜‚

@atrupar

I got a 10% pay increase, an extra 2.3% over the COL increase I would have gotten.
