The Republicans promised chaos—and they’re delivering.

@StevenBeschloss
The thing about chaos is most all chaos looks alike, so an orchestrated chaos would pretty much look like the chaos of an unguided mob.

I vote for the unguided mob.

@StevenBeschloss tRump has his hands all over this. I guarantee it. Coup v2.0 has begun
@StevenBeschloss It’s fun to watch their chaos but I’m sure this is going to affect us all one way or another.

Uncertainty always affects the stock market for one.
@StevenBeschloss
I really wish those who hate Government would have the decency to stay out of it and leave the governing to people who actually care about good governance.
It seems the GOP has become the anti-government party which is likely why they don't mind electing those who are unfit to govern.
@StevenBeschloss I'm so tired of the deceptive proposition that they're the fools. You don't mention the fact they still get paid very well (too well). The have found yet another excuse to do absolutely nothing. Taxpayers once again are the fools in this equation.
@StevenBeschloss what would happen if Democrats crossed over to vote in McCarthy? They could do it in the name of “getting things done”, but also further weaken his position.
@StevenBeschloss what happens if they don’t choose a speaker? Does this strategy help them avoid funding govt and raising the debt ceiling? Does this plan destroy the legislative branch?

@StevenBeschloss

As you say, the GOP promised chaos.

However, they are elected and taken oath to govern.

And somehow, their decision to deliver chaos is based on false information and conspiracy theories.

Hard to see a good outcome out of any of this, especially in a country in the world that is in need of clear-headed guidance right now....

@StevenBeschloss Looks like they remain in breach of their oath to govern.
@StevenBeschloss Promises made, promises kept 😉 😜
