Now that I’ve finished grid basting I’m ready to start the new #CrossStitch

@LukePlaysUke um I can try. Bear with me in case this is either too simple or too detailed.

Think of a picture as pixels. Each cross-stitch is one pixel. You have a printed ‘map’ showing which coloured pixels go where. Start by marking out the linen in a grid 10 pixels x 10 pixels. That’s the red thread. Then use the printed ‘map’ to make cross stitches in the right place. Remove the red thread that marks the grid. Hey presto, your picture is recreated as cross stitch

@KingInTheTron that makes sense. I just saw that there were spots where there was no thread, but it wasn’t always the same spot in the square so I wanted to ask
@LukePlaysUke ah yes there are gaps in the red lines but they are temporary guidelines and as long as the lines are straight it doesn’t matter if/where there are gaps!
