While McCarthy put forward the proposal to gut House Ethics and Oversight to court the secessionist caucus. the rest of the republican body has *not* called him out on it.

It is not right, but it falls to the rest of the house to call the republicans on being OK with gutting what few checks there exists against congressional misbehavior.

@RitchieTorres As a Democratic voter who got bombarded with dozens of daily fundraising emails and texts for months -- to the point that one campaign "promised" that if I contributed, they wouldn't bother me again *that day* -- I sincerely hope this is intended as a deliberate satire of the form.

If you're serious, take a few months off *now* to reconsider your approach. The endless shilling makes you look like late-night TV hustlers, not serious change agents. And people are *tired* of it.
