@noahshachtman @RollingStone while working at twitter, we spoke to Del Harvey once, in a meeting with a large part of the trust/safety team. we said something like "you're all treating abuse like it's spam, sweeping it under the rug after the fact, which doesn't work because the abuse still hits its target; you need to actually remove the abusive people". That bit about treating abuse like spam prompted some awkward moments. nobody's gaze met our eyes afterwards.
