Speaking of last things this year - the last comics! My standing order for December 2022 from the Big Bang. The Dark Crisis is over!

So Dark Crisis was... fine. It was okay. It didn't do anything amazing, but it didn't annoy me either. I think I have two main complaints -
1) It didn't really change anything. Numerically there's a big difference between 52 alternate earths and infinite alternate earths but as far as stories go - it's not like DC had run out of AU's to play with. So 52 earths, infinite earths - what's the difference? Who cares?
2) Because next to nothing DC published at the same time tied into Dark Crisis it felt very low stakes. Yes - the Justice League is 'dead' but that hardly matters when you can still read Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman's own titles. Not to mention that Wonder Woman has only *just* been resurrected after the last event.

So to update my ranking of DC Crisis Events:

1) Crisis on Infinite Earths - the GOAT
2) Zero Hour: Crisis in Time - it's not good, but it's GOOD, you know?

Tied for 3)
Dark Crisis - completely okay. Needed more impact.
and
Infinite Crisis - some truly terrible ideas - but it mattered to the DC Universe.

Rock bottom is Flashpoint which was wretched and didn't even use the word Crisis in it's name.

@PytyrH Final Crisis is my #1- interested that you’ve not ranked it at all
@davidwynne
Completely forgot that one! My list is garbage. Final Crisis is incredible.
