I feel like it would be a nice idea if there was a way to see the top posts on each instance.

By top, I mean the toots with most fav &/or most RT.

The explore tab isn't enough... 😅

@mars1024 the tradeoff is that new posts become harder to find and instances can start to become echo chambers, a bit like subreddits.

The algorithm behind which toots are easy to find is one of the key defining things for a social media platform.

It would be cool if instances had the option to enable/disable features like that - since it's not a one size fits all.

@bombadil : I agree with your viewpoint. Powering the home feed by an algorithm is a bad idea.

However, I was wondering whether the top toots can be shown in the "Explore" tab, in a different sub-tab.. 🤓
