I’m slowly losing my mom to COPD and it’s awful. Grieving a person in micro increments as they just slowly succumb to a horrible disease is just a brutal experience.

Sending love to everyone else who can relate. My soul is weary.

@ambercadabra So sorry to hear. My dad was diagnosed a couple years ago and the way it just ever so slowly takes things away he used to be able to do is heartbreaking.
@blueberrywerewolf I’m so sorry to hear it. Happy to be an ear anytime. It’s a terrible road to walk.
@ambercadabra Same to you. I think the hardest part is just not being able to do anything about it.
@blueberrywerewolf indeed. The helplessness is real and very very hard.

@ambercadabra I wish it could be like the movies where my grief leads me to become a brilliant scientist and invent a cure.

But then not do the supervillain part where my genius corrupts me and I eventually become destroyed by my own hubris.

@ambercadabra definitely feel you. Sending good thoughts your way. You are a strong lady.
@jamiechristo I definitely don’t feel very strong. I guess we carry what we must. But I just want her to be at peace.
@ambercadabra @jamiechristo the guilt for just wanting them to pass and be at peace is horrible too.
@ambercadabra I’m so sorry. It’s the worst.
@ambercadabra I'm so sorry to hear this. Bless you and the hospice workers caring for her.
@ambercadabra I lost my mom, aunt and uncle over 3 years and my aunt’s passing was slow and brutal. We had to closely manage two of the three. Was just talking to friends how no one prepared us for this. Big hugs. ❀️
@ambercadabra Man, that sucks. I’m wishing you both peace.
@ambercadabra We lost our mom to dementia and it was a long goodbye. It was a relief when she died initially but then grief set in. I still miss my folks.
@ambercadabra sending you and all who need it a big hug
@ambercadabra I am so very sorry, my friend. I wish and your family peace during this painful time. Watching the slow decline of a loved one is agonizing, no matter the cause.
@timothyvjackson thanks, friend. It really is the worst. Xoxo
@ambercadabra sending light and love and healing and comforting hugs and strength for the journey ahead.

@ambercadabra

I'm sorry for your pain and hope it eases over time. ..
