That sword of Damocles will be hanging over every journalist’s head on Twitter going forward. How can readers trust that they’re not self censoring — even if it’s inadvertent or unconscious — to avoid a ban?
That’s why I’m encouraging everybody to move off Twitter and to other platforms. Preferably platforms where there isn’t a single private owner, for obvious reasons.

KFClintonI deleted it all but before I left it was nothing but complaining about the maga staff there screwing with the lib accounts.
After reading tons of posts begging for new followers because they had lost thousands overnight, I realized they are not too bright.
What point is there in growing the bird account? None.
It is no longer viable.
Agora@atrupar how does one change where to be? I am interested in all things politics. Almost all my rants are political and sometimes racial in nature. Where are my people at?

Ultimately, Twitter and Mastodon are virtual town squares - and a virtual town square can be recreated elsewhere very quickly. Which we are. I wrote about it here:

With the experience of Meta and Twitter, I don't see myself having a desire to register on Post as it's just supporting/pushing yet another VC/Privately backed Social Network, and I feel we are at a pivotal point to get ourselves away from that. I've been off and on the Fediverse for the past 5 years, and will say, this movement/migration has improved the experience much more than I had anticipated.
