Ξ²Ιth@patrickworld Yup. The only time I ever stayed up to midnight on NYE was 1999 just to watch nothing happen when it became 2000. People were freaking out over jack squat. I saw the ball drop, the world kept spinning, I went to bed.
I'd rather go to bed at 9 o'clock and be functional the next morning than stay up past midnight to...do what, exactly? Watch some numbers light up? Big whoop.

We stayed in a nice hotel just off the French Quarter and New Year's Eve we had a truly great meal but we were back in our hotel room by 9:00pm. We watched the drunken revelers amassing in the Quarter via a public webcam site on my iPad for twenty minutes before falling dead asleep. Yeah, we're such party people... π
