Outgoing introvert, Canadian, celiac, not as young as I used to be. Mostly harmless.
It started raining in the middle of the night and is still raining. If the weather prediction was not for minus 5 C by next Wednesday I would say spring has sprung.
According to DNA testing I am 20% Irish (and northern Scottish). So I guess the least I can do is wear green on St. Paddy's day?
My grocery price index is the cost of bananas because in recent years their cost has been pretty stable at approx. $1.74 per kg. Starting in March they have gone up to $1.96 per kg. This is in western Canada. Guess in our current world I should be glad I can still get bananas.
Made a lemon meringue pie for Pi day.
I genuinely think the worst thing the internet did to reading was convince people that finishing books is a competitive sport. You don't need to read 52 books a year. You just need to read. Books you like. At your own pace. And think about them for longer than a TikTok video.
Reading Mastodon and listening to CBC FM. They just started playing a song by Anne Murray. Reminds me how much I love her voice. So calm, so musical.

Gluten-free carrot bread, recipe from lynnskitchenadventures.com. though I used Kinnikinnicks flour blend because that is what I use. It worked well. I knew I could trust her Gluten-free baking recipe when I saw she used both baking soda and baking powder.
