Anniebeeknits@pipistrelle Hmm, interesting thought. I would say that there are lots of visual jokes but I don't know what would count as a visual pun. For example, my brother-in-law has a doorstop that looks like a stylized rubber person being squished by a door, and pushpins for a bulletin board that look like little daggers. (He has a dark sense of humour!) Are those visual puns or just one thing that looks like another?
@anniebeeknits I don't really have a strict definition. Maybe a visual that relies on wordplay? I can't think of any examples, but I know I've encountered them occasionally.
@pipistrelle Hmm. There are also rebuses, where images represent words or sounds, kind of like " 👁️🌊🦇👨" could read as "I see Batman"?
