Learnt a new word today - "petrichor" - it's the smell when it rains after a long spell of dry weather. Never realized there was a word for it! See screenshot.

The word was used in a review of the book "Cells" by Gavin McCrea, in the Observer recently. The review was written by Anthony Cummins on 4th December 2022.

@octoshed Eileen Óg, there's good fish in the sea, but there's NONE OF 'EM LIKE THE PRIDE OF PETRICHOR
@octoshed Not a Doctor Who fan then?
@mac_logo Wow, I've just looked up the link with Dr. Who - I did watch them first time around - looks like I've forgotten some things then!
@octoshed Good excuse to rewatch one of the finest episodes ever - The Doctor's Wife. Petrichor is also the name of the perfume that Amy Pond's image is used to advertise in Closing Time. 😊
