Please be assured that I would very much like to hear about what makes of e-bikes you went for and why. Mine is a Cube from a bunch of years ago.
I bought it (and am very happy with it) because I had no idea what to get and decided that Germans would probably do a good job making things.

Custom form factor, or a "big bag of cans" full of something like 18650 or 21700 cells?
They are probably mostly Li-Ion but there are different chemistries, with different weight/power/safety trade-offs.
