Was watching hockey until I started watching some videos on Cities: Skylines during the intermission and ended up more interested in that than watching my team being bombarded by a far better team.

As a huge SimCity 2000 fan (shoutouts to @sc2000bot btw), I have to admit that while I've been very interested in playing some modern city builders, I've just never made the jump to try them. I did dip my toe into the more recent 3D SimCity game that ended up causing a huge uproar over being always online among other issues.

I started watching this intro to beginners series on Cities: Skylines and it was interesting enough to get my wife to sit down and watch it with me. It definitely feels inspired by SimCity's ideas and functionality - even having the same Residential/Commercial/Industrial demand meter. Hell, I already own the game already thanks to some Humble Bundle, so I'm going to give it a try soon.

Might also be fun to have a SimCity 2000: Network Edition server set up with other people that might be interested in playing. Let me know. For those unaware of SimCity 2000 Network Edition, you can get an idea of it by watching this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IEbL7BmDw_U

@jay @sc2000bot Sim City 2000 is in a league all its own. Game was just way too good. I remember playing it on PC and then later owning it on PS1 as like a double disc.
@notaboutthecell @sc2000bot It's a single disk game that came in a double disk box because the instruction manual was so thick. I recently started collecting as many random SimCity 2000 ports as I can
@jay @sc2000bot ha! There we go… crazy the instruction manual required it’s own half of a case!
@notaboutthecell @sc2000bot I have the Japanese Sega Saturn version and it's the same deal, single disc, double box for the manual.
