On a whim I decided to recreate one of #FannyCradock ‘s infamous Christmas recipes from her 1975 BBC TV series ‘Fanny Cradock Cooks for Christmas’. The series fascinates me, not just because the studio kitchen, cooker and pans look so grubby and dirty (including her dirty fingernails) but the recipes are so utterly repulsive. Her mincemeat omelette is a quick and easy cook, so I decided to whip out my pan and try it so you don’t have to. Enjoy!

@GaryJamesActor Quite amazing! Thank you for trying this so I don't make the mistake and do it myself. This is the one recipe that has always fascinated me from the Christmas cooking programmes, I think because I always wondered how she ever came up with the idea for it to begin with.

@march_payne you’re welcome. It was fun and mercifully quick. Most of her recipes are too stomach churning to even contemplate making. And what she did with sprouts was a crime against humanity 🤢
