$TSLA crashing because the company is on autopilot is the most fitting end to 2022 possible
@lifeinneon How is the company “on autopilot,” and what even does that mean?

@brianstorms @lifeinneon

the "driver" (the CEO, Elon Musk) is not "driving" (actively engaged in the running of) the "vehicle" (the business: TESLA). Instead it is "on autopilot" (employees are executing their duties without direction).

I didn't think this was a particularly hard riddle

@meganox @lifeinneon And yet you completely missed the point which is the first two words: "Tesla crashing." Why is it crashing? We are told that it is crashing "because the company is on autopilot." My original questions stand because I don't believe for a second that is why the stock price is low. But I would still love to get an explanation from lifeinneon.

@brianstorms @meganox @lifeinneon

Brian. You are responding to *jokes* and insisting on evidence that the joke is provably true.

They are jokes. Like the other one about the rockets and the genius narrative. Also a joke! A joke with a seed of truth, because as you note elsewhere there is a terrible stupid media narrative that Musk is a singular genius. The joke is about that.

The people telling the jokes don’t believe the narrative they’re mocking, that’s why the jokes are funny. They are jokes about our terrible stupid culture. Enjoy them or don’t, but demanding evidence for jokes makes you look silly and tribal.
