$TSLA crashing because the company is on autopilot is the most fitting end to 2022 possible
@lifeinneon How is the company “on autopilot,” and what even does that mean?

@brianstorms @lifeinneon

the "driver" (the CEO, Elon Musk) is not "driving" (actively engaged in the running of) the "vehicle" (the business: TESLA). Instead it is "on autopilot" (employees are executing their duties without direction).

I didn't think this was a particularly hard riddle

@meganox @lifeinneon And yet you completely missed the point which is the first two words: "Tesla crashing." Why is it crashing? We are told that it is crashing "because the company is on autopilot." My original questions stand because I don't believe for a second that is why the stock price is low. But I would still love to get an explanation from lifeinneon.
@meganox @brianstorms lol jezza explained it perfectly my guy. If you want to get sweaty carrying lukewarm muskwater go somewhere else
@lifeinneon @meganox See, more assumptions that are laughably wrong.
@brianstorms
I think it's safe to say we can all see what's laughably wrong here...but do go on, my guy. 😂 👌
Do go on...back to Twitter, that it is.
(Before it crashes.)
@lifeinneon @meganox @brianstorms I only disagree that the nosedive is due to Tesla being on autopilot. The shitstorm caused by muskrat when he decided to take revenge on the left by purchasing the bird app then going after journalists & anyone who doesn't kiss his ass while giving a platform for hateful fascism is why Tesla is tanking. Muskrat ruined his brand & alienated millions of potential customers.
@itemgoddess @lifeinneon @meganox @brianstorms given how Musk is 'leading' twitter I can only imagine Tesla would be better off if he ignored it for a while. I think the real reasons the stock price is low are
1. Musk is destroying the brand to his customers (largely left leaning eco)
2. They have competition, Hyundai and Kia are making decent, well built cars at better prices.
3. They were priced as a growth/tech stock when they are a car company
@Davidhayes @itemgoddess @lifeinneon @meganox @brianstorms pretty much this. I was once a fan, rockets, great; electric vehicles, great; little tunnels, yeah ok not that so much. Now I am just relieved I didn’t buy one of his cars, it would shit me every time I got in it. Branding does matter, and right now Musks brand is ‘asshole’. Also, great to see we now have fanboy asshole trolls over here on Mastodon, things must really be taking off.
@brianstorms @meganox @lifeinneon Brian, perhaps you could explain what you think the point is, engage in reasonable conversation, and forgo the Twitter type troll response. You clearly understand what was being said and equally clear is that you disagree. Rather than insult, offer your alternative point of view.

@mtnickerson @meganox @lifeinneon No I don't clearly understand what was being said. You have jumped to a conclusion. And then you invent this notion that I am insulting someone? You're two stikes out so far.

I want to know why the company being on autopilot has crashed the stock. That makes no sense imho.

@brianstorms @meganox @lifeinneon

I assumed that it's meant as a joke about Tesla's buggy driving capability + Tesla's stock price crashing + Tesla investors complaining that Elon Musk is ignoring Tesla while he's busy destroying Twitter.

I think Tesla's stock price is crashing because the cars are poor quality and the price was only high because of Elon Musk hype. Now that he's made it obvious that he's an idiot, the glamor is gone and the price is adjusting to an appropriate level.

@unicorndeburgh @[email protected] @[email protected] Ok well everyone's must have their opinion.

@brianstorms @unicorndeburgh as this is a clearly stated opinion of major Tesla shareholders then I suggest the joke holds water despite whatever you want to believe.

Furthermore, the fact that Tesla shares are tanking RELATIVE to the market clearly demonstrates, by definition, that the markets are taking their money from Tesla and moving it elsewhere. Moves like this mean massive institutional investors like person funds etc.

Hope that helps your understanding.

@unicorndeburgh @brianstorms @meganox @lifeinneon Even if Tesla's cars were wonderful, I'm not sure it justifies Tesla's current market cap (let alone what it was before). I am skeptical that, even with better cars, Tesla would actually be worth more than Toyota.
@unicorndeburgh @brianstorms @meganox @lifeinneon now that's the kind if intelligent respectful contribution I like. Follow
@unicorndeburgh @brianstorms @meganox @lifeinneon Fremont-built are poor quality, the rest is very good. They really need to sort this factory out.
@Akryum @brianstorms @meganox @lifeinneon Fremont is where Musk personally spent time, urging long hours, rushed work and cutting corners on safety regulations.
@brianstorms @meganox @lifeinneon So, what is your theory for why TSLA is crashing?

@brianstorms @meganox @lifeinneon

Brian. You are responding to *jokes* and insisting on evidence that the joke is provably true.

They are jokes. Like the other one about the rockets and the genius narrative. Also a joke! A joke with a seed of truth, because as you note elsewhere there is a terrible stupid media narrative that Musk is a singular genius. The joke is about that.

The people telling the jokes don’t believe the narrative they’re mocking, that’s why the jokes are funny. They are jokes about our terrible stupid culture. Enjoy them or don’t, but demanding evidence for jokes makes you look silly and tribal.

@brianstorms He didn't miss the point of your question. You just failed to state it properly. (Also, your "argument" sucks, LOL.)
@brianstorms @lifeinneon
Means.. no one at the wheel. CEO MIA

@brianstorms @lifeinneon

It's a metaphor to say that the CEO is AWOL.

@brianstorms @lifeinneon I too demand 100% semantic accuracy from language. Which why I hate jokes. And metaphors. And sarcasm. And language in general actually.
@brianstorms @lifeinneon Elon Musk has left the building. But Tesla being the Hotel California, he can check out anytime he wants, but he can never leave...
@brianstorms @lifeinneon Because the CEO is MIA while he courts fascists and white supremacists on Twitter.

@brianstorms sounded to me like the company is “on autopilot” because that’s what @lifeinneon needed to say to make a bad joke from the anti-Musk bandwagon.

Nothing more to see here than that.
