@pascallaliberte we‘re lucky that my wife is full time employed and wages are somewhat tied to inflation here.
So yeah, we‘ll handle it somehow, but that’s just our private energy bill. My office rent will also increase by 10%, and that’s not even covering electricity and gas…
Let’s just hope for the best…
@pascallaliberte to be clear, we’re lucky to have the monetary reserves to handle this for a while, and we’re already massively cutting back costs (like, dropping heating temperature by 1.5 degrees etc)
But the majority of the population isn’t so lucky. I wonder where this will lead…
@pascallaliberte I hope for the latter. I also find solace in the fact that for once we have something like actual cost transparency in the energy sector.
It’s time for a transformation after all, and it seems like it’s got to come from the bottom.
