Look, mastodon's just BETTER:
- Edit toots whenever you like
- Get a notification if someone else edits something you boosted
- Content warnings
- Disappearing toots
- A better verification process than twitter (prove you own a domain by adding an html tag to it)
- REAL long messages (500chars)
- Granular toot visibility
- Fav AND bookmark!
- Email-like infrastructure feels so cosy!

the TLDR is that we agree on the cons that are community-size driven, and disagree about monetisation.
I support to my server, which I'm delighted to do, to keep independence.
Remember: If you're not paying for it, you are the product!

@0atman@mastodon the cons are not really based on my personal experience. cons are based on people who are less technical. i mean 13 is a pro in a sense that if one server goes down it's only that server. the signup process confuses a lot of people. mastodon will need a community effort to go mainstream. do u think will mastodon be mainstream ? is mastodon for everyone ?
