I hear a lot of White people in Britain saying that UK doesn’t have the kind of racism that America has. They might want to talk with Black and Brown Britons before making that determination.

“More than 2 in 5 Black, Brown & minority workers in the UK say they have faced racism on the job. Racist incidents included racist jokes, being subjected to stereotyping/comments about appearance, racist remarks, or outright bullying & harassment. ”

The micro-aggressions… they can be very subtle but they’re constant! Some people, especially older folks don’t even recognize them, but as the study shows, as people get younger in the study, the level of racist incidents goes up meaning that younger people recognize them more often than older people.
@nathaliaassaad Exactly. That’s what I see as well. You know, the United States basically shows its dysfunction out loud. But institutional racism (which we do have) and those micro aggressions that you mention and those covert racist activities point towards a deeper, foundational problem.
