I'm not following nearly as many people here as on Twitter but it *still* takes me several *hours* to get caught up, mostly because of user interface issues.

Biggest one is I can't make the browser interface columns wider. It means a LOT more scrolling than in Twitterrific. The only Mac OS app I've been able to find that allows custom column widths has no ability to increase the font size. I can't read 9pt fonts any more. :(

The repetition of Boosts is *really* annoying. Showing me my own Boosts is *really* annoying. The jumping around the timeline in the browser is *really* annoying.

The inefficiency of either Mastodon, the browser or the apps (I don't know at whose feet to lay "blame") makes Mastodon *much* less user friendly for me.

The inability of Mastodon, the apps or the browser to sync posts means I miss a lot of posts. :(

The Mammoth Mac OS app (I like the iOS version) also doesn't allow changing column sizes. The Mastonaut Mac app has no option to turn off automatic timeline refresh.

Sigh...my kingdom for an app that works the way *I* need it to work! :)

@KingShawn If you’re on an iPhone, try using Safari instead of any app. Just type the name of your Mastodon account. That’s it’s URL. You’ll be on your account without needing to login. You can configure columns and feeds. Can’t do everything (I haven’t figured it out). I go back and forth, app to Safari to desktop computer. I agree it’s clunky. But I don’t miss the mess I left behind.
@BarbaraGeffen Thanks but I don’t see how to configure column widths in iOS Safari…
