I can’t believe he was still taking to her calls - I’m guessing that has stopped after this. How long ago did she think of that superlative washed up diva comparison, keeping her powder dry, just waiting to use it?

He actually resembles Carol Burnett’s Norma Desmond more than the original.

@jayrosen_nyu I'm mostly pretty scathing about the New York and London based media tendency to just hire as 'journalists' the English Majors with the most fluent writing style....

regardless of whether they have any specialist knowledge or aptitude for the subject they are supposed to be covering... but I will admit... OCCASIONALLY...it has its advantages 👌
