No because a religion suggest also a part of mysticism (spirits, gods, places), legends (heroes, stories, places too) and as I said, a way of life, habits and coutumes, so culture to (food, dress, etc). And TRY to explain inexplicable...
Science is made of facts and History, allow understand "why" with clues, improve the life and possibilities (medicine, engineering etc).
Transfom Magic is not magic because (explanations and comprehention)...
Magic is just science that we don't understand. And science that we don't understand can be TRY to be explain by religion as "it is God' Will"

And some people want also destroy what is misunderstood.
Actually science and religion are corrosive to each other
But now some religions have a kind of assembly of scientists well known, estimated.
