@robbeedee Very cool. That was one area I never wanted to get involved in. I have a great friend who has done weddings, here in New England for 20 yrs & he has watched his income plummet, due to people jumping into the market, claiming they are wedding photographers w their digital cameras, offering cheap prices & wedding photo shoppers end up going for price over quality because of not mtg in person anymore, which has depressed him. I'm not in the market, there could be more to it than that.
@KiKiPosting yep, I have watched the market change a lot. But people change, and I do see the new entrants to the market thinking up some fresh ideas, which is good.
@robbeedee Well, he tends to be a negative person, so I know if I were in the market, I would do things differently that he would. I was in sales most of my life, so I tend to think of things differently. Plus, I also think of things from the way of one #manifest their life. #ThinkPositive & #creative what you want. He is more of a fatalist. 😂 One must change with the market, right? 🙂 ❤️
@robbeedee I do have to add your photo is exquisite. 🙂 BTW, my friend's work is exceptional. He used to meet people face to face but people do not do that anymore, they want prices up front. Look at your work & people are too cost conscience without thinking they are not buying photos, they are buying memories that can be captured like you did with the "story" or someone just asking the whole wedding party to say "cheese"...😂

@robbeedee

Would love to hear the story behind the photo. Timing, set up etc.

Great shot.

@neilparekh we were driving around a golf course in buggies when I spotted these two hills with a clear backdrop. I called out for everyone to stop, and I grabbed just the bride and groom and positioned them in either side. I took a photo. I then asked the groom to run to the other side, and he did so playfully. I snapped photos the whole way across and only later in post did I have the idea of compositing them together.

@robbeedee

Wow. I'm always fascinated by the backstory. Although I can see the groom running toward the bride now, at first glance, I actually thought that it was the wedding party.

Thanks!

@neilparekh nearly everyone does think that, which I think is cool.
