Looking around social media, it appears that many people with "Christian" in their profile are celebrating Greg Abbott's decision to celebrate Christmas by putting migrants on a bus and dumping them out in the freezing cold.
I wonder how many of them have read Matt 2:13-15 lately.
@questauthority My prediction is they wouldn't be able to find the Book of Genesis if they opened their Bible let alone the NT.

Observations
@questauthority Readong is a problem for them in the first place.

@questauthority Matthew 6:5 is another one I like to point out.

"When you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, who love to stand and pray in the synagogues and on street corners so that others may see them."

@questauthority well it's not like "do unto others as you would have them do unto you" is a core tenet.

And of course by the principle of textualism "as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me." literally means only Jesus' actual brothers.

@kevin @questauthority

I doubt that Abbot and his accomplices put the extra work in to make sure no one on that bus had a brother named Jesus.

@questauthority Notice almost all of the self identified Christians who say such things are white.
@questauthority I hate that! When people highlight how christian they are and are the biggest assholes! #hypocrits

"Another thing I find revolting about Republicans is that they spend the entire year being as vile as humanly possible, and then on Christmas and Easter, they’re all about Jesus."

"I’m not a Jesus expert and I don’t claim to be a Christian so I can’t tell you what Jesus would do, but he wouldn’t do this.

Officials in New York City received an advance warning these refugees were coming, and that might be why they were re-routed to D.C. Republicans have to make these stunts as cruel as possible."

@questauthority They must think that being forced to give birth in a barn was a good thing...
@questauthority
It's like Abbott read the Christmas story and decided the hero was the innkeeper.
@mike_jones @questauthority The kind of person who thinks A Christmas Carol is a Greek tragedy where a great man succumbs to the weak sentimentality of his past.
@questauthority Abbott to staff: hear me out, I’ll be Bill Murray’s character, but without the redemption part.
@questauthority The word "Christian" in anyone's biography is usually the first indication that they are an incredible narcissistic deviant. I've been seeing it for decades and it's just objectively true.
