But I don't care what make engine goes in a car. People are always up in arms if you throw a Chevy motor in a Ford or whatever, but I just can't be bothered to care. Engine swaps have always been cool, and even cooler when it's something oddball - like Finnegan's Death Metal Charger, which has a boosted 2JZ. Or my late grandpa's 55 Mercury, which has a 1st gen Hemi.
It's also Christmas day and I can't think of 4 more.

I just looked that up, holy cow, that’s awesome! TBH I’m not sure any old car really needs a V8 swap when we have such great 4’s etc. today.

Den of Earth@CFBrand3rd @ultravan372 @austincnunn @jeffbatt @mrbwa1 @Basmitharts I've never quite understood why Subaru didn't put more effort into their flat 6 engines. All their sport and racing engines are opposed 4's, and they're pretty powerful. Why not put dual turbos on the 6 and go nuts?

From what I understood, the Subaru 6’s were not mechanically very good. Anyway, I agree. Would have been cool in some form.
