Bonus - they’re the publishers of Science magazine, which is a front-row seat to the state of science research, and membership comes with a subscription to that fantastic periodical.

Hugh@JeriLRyan of course it's not just anti-science. It's a progressively authoritarian leaning world. Science, in it's essence, is anti-authoritarian because the scientific method relies on observation and empiricism. But others outside of science are feeling related pressures. Book burnings, for example are focused on literary works. It is much larger than anti-science. It's actually anti-thought - as in "independent thinking" is forbidden.

The dark silver lining in all of this is being anti-science right now is very harmful to their health.. giving those of us who want to fix things like climate change a hope of actually doing so......
Anti-science people also tend to want to burn oil forever... as an example.
I wish they wouldn't take innocent people with them... that's the part that sucks.....

I think they suffer the same problem the NAZIs had.
The NAZIs were able to develop a nuclear bomb, they had the money and the knowledge.
However their beliefs and I mean the conspiracy theories they praised so much took them far from this "jew technology".
They developed rockets instead.
Same today. They believe in science but only if this science dovetails with their conspiracy theories.

@JeriLRyan Very very, very true. So much technology is available, and unfortunately, it's being used to spread dangerous and misleading ideas.
People should listen to Fauci and other Covid scientists and not demonise them. They have people's best interests at heart, and the virus hasn't gone away.
