I am furious. For 10 days, Lakota Sioux have been snowed in and trapped in South/North Dakota. I just now heard about this. People are dying. Many have no heat, they can’t get food or fuel. They are burning clothes.

In America. In 2022. The National Guard was called out, *finally*. Unconscionable.

An update - just talked to a friend from SD. I guess the weather was bad enough that no one *could* go anywhere that whole time.

I’m still mad. I’m not convinced the govt did enough to help with keeping people prepped for this. Subsidized fuel, for example.
