How do you handle "quick"' questions that might be long distractions?

If a coworker swings by you've been 'desk-bombed'. Some hate the distraction.

Working from home seems to have made approaching a colleague's desk for an unscheduled chat even more divisive for those now back in the office.

@adamely huge drawback IMO, and one of the key reasons I love working remotely. Was good for relationship building, but awful for actually getting work done, and often led to discussions/decisions being unauditable by those affected.

My general rule now is that if it isn't in writing and you can't link to it, it never happened.
