CNN is reporting that two busloads of migrants, including children, were dumped in front of Vice President Harris’ residence tonight. During this freezing cold weather.
Texas’ Greg Abbott has been doing this for some time as a political stunt, but it’s not yet confirmed who is behind tonight’s busing, happening on Christmas Eve.
Like DACA recipient Astrid Silva tweeted, evil doesn’t rest.
Looks like The Migrant Solidarity Mutual Aid Network took three busloads of people to a church, to help provide them with necessary resources and welcome them to the country.
"Some migrants could be seen wearing only sweatshirts, with one man even wearing shorts as temperatures dipped in the teens Saturday night."

Diapers, baby food, warm clothes, masks.
The Migrant Solidarity Network (including a bunch of churches and I think synagogues too) have been showing up for every busload, often with about 36 hours notice. (Of course, the churches/synagogues involved have a schedule of "just in case" space reservations.)
I'm so glad to see the addition of baby-related stuff on the wishlist. I've seen families come through with babies under a month old.

An email went out today looking for people to sort donations. I replied back "there's gonna be a shit load, bc the Amazon wishlist went around Mastodon." The reply I got back said the Amazon wishlist had been *completely bought out*!
(And also that the stuff to be sorted this week is actually the stuff that was physically dropped off, since the Amazon stuff and the in-person donated stuff have different storage spots.)
