I am furious. For 10 days, Lakota Sioux have been snowed in and trapped in South/North Dakota. I just now heard about this. People are dying. Many have no heat, they can’t get food or fuel. They are burning clothes.

In America. In 2022. The National Guard was called out, *finally*. Unconscionable.

@marcibrinker thank you!! I hope it’ll help! I can’t imagine. It’s so cold even in Boston. And thank God I have heat and layers and all that. These people are way way out in rural nowhere. I come from an area sort of like that. This is another level.
@szattwellauthor it sounds so bad. I’m glad the National Guard is being sent in to help too. It’s so cold and that’s one of the most impoverished areas in the US.
@marcibrinker and most sparsely populated. I’m just worried that they’re already too late for a lot of people.
